2 boxes of comics came in to a local thrift-store. The comics were sold for 29 cents a comic.
It's difficult to quite know what to do about these books. Sorting through the swill -- Adolescent Radioactive Hamsters and plenty of stuff nobody could possibly want -- there are things that look like they're worth a look. But mostly just worth a look. Buy 10 of them, and for 3 dollars I have a bunch of comics -- say Warren Ellis's Lazarus -- that may or may not be any good, but I'd probably end up just wanting to dump.
As it were I picked up 3 comics... Eddie Campbell's Deadface, an early Top Shelf anthology, and something that escapes my mind right now. The comics have depleted by now -- what remains of any worthiness is a couple copies of Peter Kuper's Bleeding Heart. But even that doesn't look like anything I want to read. So I guess if anyone wants a copy of Adolescent Radioactive Hamsters, they know where they can go.
